Just wanted to let everyone know that we are catching a few salmon on every am trip.  Not a lot but enought that we have been targeting them.

 

I am hoping that this fishing will get better as we move along this month

 

Maybe it is time to book that trip

First big salmon in Leland

IMG_0393     No Aaron did not catch this fish.  It is the first big salmon caught on a charter boat in Leland this season.  Maybe more of these great fish will be coming to our waters.

 

Lake trout continue to be the big catch.   We are still getting limits of trout on most trips.

Fishing from Leland continues to be very strong.  Most boats are getting limits of Lake trout on the half day trips.

 

We have heard reports from Wisconsin that the salmon are on that shore and active.  Let’s hope those fish find a way to northern Michigan.

Back to the boat Thursday?

Yes, a back to the boat thursday.  Dave and I are headed out about 1 to finish up several projects that were not finished.

I have a new radio and speakers to install, new deck plates, and a couple minor things to get done.

Lake Trout fishing has been spectacular.  Every trip this year has had limit catches and we are seeing some good sizes of fish.

There has been a sprinkle of small Kings being caught.  Although the size is small, the fact is that we have caught more salmon this year then last year.  Stop by and see me and I can share my ideas on what is happening

This Saturday is the Leland wine festival and a great day to visit Leland.

What a couple of weeks.  We had another back to the boat tuesday and finished the rod holder project on the radar arch.  Really came out nice and will

give us that many more spots to put the extra rods

Had a couple of my regular customers come by and got to go fishing.  The first trip was a limit of lake trout and a nice king salmon.  Yesterday we had a limit of lake trout.  Lake trout fishing is starting out very strong.  All the trips from Leland this season have had limits of trout.

 

We also had dock and lift put in on the lake lot.  It has been busy
